The first known winery ever to open in the area, 96˚ West Winery is located in the heart of charming historic downtown Wylie, Texas.  The name of our winery is derived from the longitudinal coordinate of Wylie, (96˚ 31'44''W), permanently linking community and winery.  Our connection to our friends and family is so vitally important to us that we felt our name should reflect this sentiment.

96˚ West is also a figurative reference to an imaginary checkpoint you may cross on your wine journey when you step into our tasting room.  We thrive on that which is unique (wines, people, etc.) committed to helping people explore their senses through a new wine experience.
